Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2020 Ford F-150 with no Factory Trailer Package
Question:
We are adding a hitch to one of our fleet trucks. It did NOT come with a tow package. So my question: We will need wiring for both 4-way and 7-way connections. Is there a kit that comes with all the necessary accessories or will we need to get multiple kits? We have a 2020 Ford F150 XL, 2WD, Standard cab, 3.3L V6

We have what you need. To start the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e63TR is a great choice designed specifically for trucks without the factory hitch.
For wiring the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # C56413 will plug into the factory connectors and give you a working 7-way connector. To add a 4-way connector you will switch the socket that comes with the kit out for the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector part # HM48470.
This will give you a 4, 5 and 7-way connector for any of the trailers you may run into.
