Trailer Hitch Recommendation For 2015 Prime Time Crusader Lite Fifth Wheel
Question:
Hi, I have a 2015 prime time crusader lite trailer. I am looking at adding a rear hitch of some sort to pull a 7x16 enclosed tandem axel trailer with 2 atvs. I am not sure what product to go with, and if I would need to have the frame reinforced to pull another trailer behind the camper? I heard you guys are pretty knowledgable. Thanks in advance!

According to the manufacturer, your 2015 Prime Time Crusader Lite was not designed to accommodate the addition of a hitch to the rear bumper or frame. Therefore they will not warranty the addition of the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 or the addition of a hitch like # C13701
You will need to weigh the risk when desiring to tow as most 5th wheel trailers and these hitch options would allow for that utility trailer with ATV towing, or even a small aluminum boat. Reinforcing the frame might indeed be a worthy endeavor should you choose to install a hitch. These hitches will be more than able to support the tongue weight.
