Can a jeep grand cherokee 2017 limited 4x4 be towed? it has manual shift auto mode transmission.

Expert Reply:
As long as your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the two speed transfer case that has neutral you can flat tow it. The single speed transfer case and 2x4 models can not be flat towed.
You will need a Base Plate Kit, Tow Bar, Safety Cables, Wiring for Lights, and a Supplemental Braking System to flat tow your Grand Cherokee and I have listed my recommendations below:
Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect # RM-521440-5
Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain # RM-522
Wiring For Lights: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-98146-7
Supplemental Braking System: Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR
The Roadmaster Falcon # RM-522 includes safety cables so you will not need to purchase them seperatly.
You may also need a high/low adapter to level your tow bar so I have included an article that shows how to measure for the correct adapter and a link to all of our high/low adapters for you to take a look at.
