Recommended Weight Distribution With Sway Control for 350 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU and tow a 3400lb trailer with a 350 lb tongue weight. Because I am towing near my vehicle’s weight limits, I want a weight distribution hitch with sway control. What do you recommend?

A weight distribution system with sway control is a fantastic idea as it will keep you level and really help control your ride as you tow with your Jeep. For your 3,400 lb trailer and 350 tongue weight, the weight distribution hitch I highly recommend is the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600.
The two points of sway control on the e2 are at the brackets and the friction is what creates the outstanding sway control of this system. It is also really easy to set up compared to systems that use chains, and is easily the best value among weight distribution hitches, with a unique combination of relative cost-effectiveness and high quality. As you can see by the reviews on the product page of the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution with 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0600, our customers who have used it have given it a nearly 5-star rating.
It comes with a shank but you will need a hitch ball as well, with the correct one depending on your trailer's coupler:
- 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080
or
- 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100
The only other thing we recommend is using a socket to help ease the install of the hitch ball, the Thin Walled Socket # EQ70-00-4800.
I have added links below to some video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like.
