Distance Between Brackets of a Draw-Tite Hitch for a 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500
Question:
There is a caution about this hitch not fitting a frame 30 3/8 inches wide. That makes me wonder what width of frame the hitch is designed to fit. I have a 2019 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 with a step. I measure the outside width of the frame to be about 41 inches. What is the distance between the braces that that hold this hitch?

For your 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500, there are two Draw-Tite hitches available depending on what kind of bumper you have.
For the 170" wheelbase with a factory step bumper, the hitch you referenced, part # 75601, is the one to choose. As you said, this will not fit the rare 30-3/8" wide frames as that is too narrow. The distance between the brackets of this hitch is 39-3/8".
You may need to measure the frame again to see if this will fit. I've linked to a video installation of a Curt alternative, part # 13358, to give you an idea of where to take the measurements (these hitches install the same way).
