Recommended Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier for 2008 FJ Cruiser and Mustang 100X Kayak

Question:

I have a Mustang 100X 10 kayak, using a 2008 FJ Cruiser for transport. Rubber block systems dont work well because of the double-chine hull. I like what Ive seen with the Mega-Wing system and I like the RhinoRack system, the problem is clearance getting the FJ back into the garage. It BARELY fits naked, so I have to remove ANY type of kayak carrying system before pulling into the garage. Is there any system that has a quick disconnect style of brackets, so that I dont have to unscrew brackets and clamps from my roof rack every time I load and unload? LOVE your videos, by the way. The Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # RRRVP25 is a great system for your crossbar system. This system can be removed if needed fairly simply, but it still will take a little time and effort. It is a lower profile and cleaner option with the bars ending at the towers.

For your double-chine hull kayak, I recommend the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Rear Loading - Clamp On # MPG107MD which is easily removed if you don't need to remove the crossbars for your garage clearance.
