Equal-i-zer or Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch For Towing a 30 Foot House Boat
Question:
Hello, I have a 30 long, 136 tall trailerable houseboat and am looking for a weight distribution hitch and sway control. I have been looking at the EQ37121ET and RP66084. I would like to know how much more efficient is the RP66084 in controlling sway compared to the EQ37121ET. I can provide an example picture if needed.

Both weight distribution systems are top of the line systems that have great sway control.
I would lean towards the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # RP66084 due to its Cam System that does a great job of preventing sway from ever starting, and keeping your trailer straight over the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37121ET which relies on metal on metal friction to prevent sway and keep your trailer straight.
Honestly both systems will do a great job but for the reasons I mentioned, and that the Reese # RP66084 is a quieter system, and allows for a greater range of tongue weights is why I would lean towards it over the Equal-i-zer # EQ37121ET.
For the Reese # RP66084 you will need a hitch ball with a 1 1/4 inch shank like the 2-5/16" # 63840.
If you choose the Equal-i-zer # EQ37121ET you will need an adjustable shank like the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4300
