How To Install A 7-way Connector On 2017 Ford Edge
Question:
We are in the process of purchasing a 2 receiver hitch for a 2017 Ford Edge. Your videos have helped us make that decision. Wiring is the next challenge. Do you have a harness for an RV round receiver? I know you have 4 flat, but that is not what we need. Thanks

To install a 7-way connector on your 2017 Ford Edge you will first need to install a 4-way connector. I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat # 118669 if your Edge is an SE or SEL, and the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat # 118677 if your Edge is a Sport or Titanium. We have had great results with the Tekonsha T-One Harness's, and they offer a plug and play installation that only requires you to run a power wire to your vehicle's battery to protect your factory harness.
If you just need the 7-way connector, but your trailer doesn't have trailer brakes you can use the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way to 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # C57672. If your trailer has brakes you will need the # ETBC7. Both kits come with everything you need to complete the install. When we installed the # ETBC7 kit on a Ford Edge we also used the No-Drill Mount Bracket # 18136 to mount the 7-way connector to the trailer hitch receiver.
If you are in need of a trailer brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 which has an easy to read LCD screen, and a diagnostics system built in.
