Hooking Up the Furrion Automatic Transfer Switch # F50ATS to Home Electrical System

Question:

I am a electrician by trade and want to hook up a 9600watt portable generator to may house as back up power. my question is, will the F50ATS after wired with my generator, allow my generator to start automatically after the utility power is off ? and also when utility power is restored, will the transfer switch shut the generator down after power is restored ? In other words, what I am asking , is does this transfer switch act the same as a regular automated transfer switch that you would purchase with a whole house generator ? I hope you can understand my question. I will wait your response. Thank you so much

I reached out to Furrion directly they mentioned that the Furrion Automatic Transfer Switch # F50ATS will automatically switch to the lead it is connected to when shore power is dropped, but you will need to manually turn the generator off or secondary power off and switch it. This will not start your generator and turn it off when you lose power or power is restored.
