Why Does Trailer Hitch for 2018 Nissan Murano Have Higher Capacity Than Vehicle Does
Question:
If Nissan says the 2018 Murano can only tow 1500#, why are you promoting a 4000# towing capacity?

Expert Reply:
Draw Tite and Curt/etrailer rate their hitches independently from one another which is why it's often that the hitches will be rated for different capacities. This is why the Draw Tite hitch part # 75952 is rated higher than your 2018 Nissan Murano.
The overall towing capacity is always the lowest rated component in the setup as you are only as strong as your weakest component.
