Can Trailer Running Lights be Activated At Night When Wanted
Question:
I would like my running lights on my 5th wheel to be on at night, not hooked up to my truck. Less obtrusive than the outdoor patio lights. My thought to make this work would be to buy “Pollak Replacement 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector Socket” and run two wires to 12volt. See picture. Would this work?

You could run a wire from your trailer's battery to the running light circuit and then use a switch like part # D16740 to activate them when needed. This would also allow the lights to function when not connected to the tow vehicle as well.
