Timbren Suspension Enhancement for a 1995 Ford Ranger with Metal Contractors Canopy

Question:

I have the 1995 Ranger either PU or Splash, not sure. I have a contractors metal canopy on back which weights about 275 to 300 lbs. I put rear half of bolt-on helper springs to raise rear-end about 1-1/2 inches. I pull a trailer with a tougne weight up to 450 lbs. The vehicle is a little more squirrelly with them on, but, will carry rear weight higher. The suspension is stock except for the helper springs. Question: Would these TFRR050A overload springs allow me to remove the bolt-on rear springs or should I leave them on?

The Timbren system # TFRR050A is designed to be installed on a stock suspension system that is in good working order. The added springs you put on may interfere with the way the Timbren springs work and they could also work against each other in some fashion so it is recommended to remove the extra springs.

The Timbrens are going to take the squat out of the back and help with loads in the truck, ride quality, and side to side roll. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a link to an FAQ article on Timbrens for you.
