Tie-Downs for 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD With 6-1/2 Foot Bed, Cab-Length Boards & OEM Hitch

Question:

2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.5 bed, Crew Cab 6.0 liter motor cab step. I dont know if it is a factory hitch it looks like it could be I cant not tell. Nothing with GM markings and it is round tube hitch not Square tube. Does this tie Connect into the trailer hitch? So I am confused for the rear and c2205 for the front. I know they made a rear tie for aftermarket hitch but I called up torklift and show them a picture of my hitch and we still cannot figure it out if it is a factory hitch.

Thanks for the photo it was really helpful and based on that, you do have the OEM hitch for your 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The hitch is unique in that it has the same open-end on the tubes, the same brackets, and same chain loops, which are all distinct to the factory hitch. So for your '03 Silverado 2500HD with a 6-1/2 foot bed, cab-length boards, and factory hitch the tie-downs you need are the following:

- Front: TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLC2205

- Rear: TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TLC3205

The tie-downs require the use of mounting points that are available with the factory hitch but not aftermarket hitches, which is why the distinction between the two is needed. So along with the tie-downs, you also need turnbuckles. And the correct turnbuckles for these TorkLift frame-mounted tie-downs are the FastGun Turnbuckles, which come in either black or gray:

- TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles for Frame-Mounted Tie-Downs - Black # TLS9529-2-LK or Gray # TLS9522-2-LK
