According to my research your 2005 Scion xA can be flat towed behind a motorhome, but I do recommend checking your vehicle's owners manual to confirm this and for instructions you'll want to follow when flat towing.
In order to flat tow your 2005 Scion xA, you'll need the following parts: base plates, tow bar, tow bar wiring, safety cables, supplemental braking and a high/low adapter. For base plates, the Roadmaster # 1170-1 you were looking at have removable arms, to provide you with base plates that are virtually invisible when they're removed. You will need a tow bar that is compatible with these base plates, and the most popular compatible tow bar is the Falcon All Terain, # RM-522. This has non-binding arms which makes the setup very easy to connect/disconnect.
After that, the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain kit part # RM-9243-1 is a kit that comes with tow bar wiring, safety cables, locks for the baseplates and a cover to protect everything during weather; this is a great option that gives you a lot of great components all in one kit. The diode kit that comes with this allows you to splice into the taillight wiring so that your RV controls the vehicle taillights and does not require drilling into the taillight housings. This comes with a round 6-way connector that you will install on the front of your towed vehicle and enough coiled wire to go from there to the RV.
For supplemental braking, which is required in most states and provinces, the easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
In most cases you'll require a high/low adapter so that your tow bar can be level while towing. I have linked all of our high/low adapters, as well as a helpful article on how to correctly measure to determine which one that you'll need to use.
I have included a couple of helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you, as well as review and installation videos of the parts mentioned above.
