Space Needed for Ventilation When Installing Furrion FF40SC15ABL RV Fireplace

Question:

Im interested in buying the 40inch fireplace. After looking at the installation manual cut out sizes its not clear to me how the unit is ventilated well. There are vents on the back and top that will be covered once you slide it into the cutout. Depth wise I have 6-1/4inch to deal with. Is this enough?

According to the installation instructions, all the holes needed for ventilation are on the front of the unit. One on the front face, and a series of vents on the top of the portion of the fireplace that stands off from the mounting surface as shown in the provided diagram. Your 6-1/4 inch available depth will be sufficient, as the depth of the portion of the unit that will be in the wall is 5-3/16 inches.

One thing I'm not seeing in any of the documentation of yourtube install videos is the back space clearance. I have a televator TV and thinking I can put a Fireplace in front of it and still have about 2" spacing b'w the back of the fireplace and the TV

I spoke to my Furrion Customer Service contact, who called his appliance specialist, who in turn called an engineeer, and they said, "There is not anything in writing that you cannot, but we do not recommend it."
