Recommended 2020 Subaru Outback Trailer Hitch Receiver and 7-Way Plug With Brake Controller
Question:
I want to tow a small tear trailer with my 2020 Subaru Outback. It is not clear which hitch makes installation easiest. I was thinking of using a Curt T Connector C56040, 7 Way Upgrade ETBC7L and the Curt Wireless Controller C51180. My question is which hitch will be the easiest to attach the 7 Way Upgrade? Which one has predrilled holes? Thanks

The easiest trailer hitch receiver installation is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT73RR for your 2020 Subaru Outback. It is the only option we have that doesn't require removing the bumper which is definitely more time and labor intensive. This will utilize holes already in your frame so no drilling is required. You will need to modify a heat shield and the entire installation will take approximately 40 minutes.
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56040, the # ETBC7L and the Curt Echo # C51180 are required. This combination is a great fit for your vehicle and trailer.
