How to Lengthen Tekonsha 3031-P Brake Controller Wiring Harness for 2020 Toyota Tacoma

Hi! I have a Tekonsha trailer brake controller with a 3031-p wiring harness for my 2020 Toyota Tacoma. I would like to mount it in a location that is beyond the reach of the harness. What is the best way to extend the length? Thank you.

Expert Reply:
We do indeed have a solution for you. You can cut off the plug of the # 3031-P harness (the one that plugs into the back of the brake controller) and splice on the # 7894 which will add in about 34 inches of length for you. Simply used the provided butt connectors and the wires will connect together color for color.
