Can I Adapt my B&W Companion Gooseneck Over to my Factory Puck System on my 2020 GMC Sierra 2020
Question:
I upgraded my vehicle from a 2019 sierra 1500 slt to a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500. The fifth wheel hitch I have for my 1500 is a bandw companion with single point connection and the new 2020 2500 has a puck style set up. Is there an adaptor I can buy for my single point to adapt to the puck style?

We have the appropriate fifth wheel hitch but there is not an adapter available to go from the gooseneck connection of your current B&W Companion part # BWRVK3500 to the factory puck system you have now. You can however use you head that you have now and add it to the replacement bases below.
For your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 the Replacement Slider Base for B&W Companion Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVB3775 or the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC part # BWRVB3710 is the way to go.
Depending on the design of your fifth wheels nose you may be able to get away with out a slider but use the formula below to help determine that.
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of rear axle to truck cab
B = Zero for non slider - 12" for slider
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)
For example: If the distance from the center of the axle to the cab is 36 inches and the sliding fifth wheel hitch has 12 inches of travel, 36 inches + 12 inches = 48 inches. If your fifth wheel trailer is 96 inches wide, take half (48 inches), then plug in: 48 - 48 = 0 inches of clearance.
NOTE: At least 4 inches of clearance is recommended to safely execute a 90 degree turn.
