The front fascia trimming that is required to install the Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch on your 2011 Chevrolet 3500 is detailed in the installation instructions that I have linked for you. Basically, you will need to drill a square hole that is 3-1/4 inches by 3-1/4 inches.

To begin measuring for the cutout, you will want to measure from the tow hook bolt center to the ground. Next, subtract 4-1/8 inches from that measurement, this will be the distance from the ground to the bottom of the cutout. Then, measure 3-1/4 inches up from the bottom of the cutout for the top of the cutout. After that, find the center of the fascia by measuring from left to right on your truck. Once you have the center point, measure 1-5/8 inches to each side.

Once you have the square marked, the instructions recommend drilling a 3/8 inch hole in each corner and carefully cut the hole from the fascia.

This hole will be in the same location as the front license plate. If you have a license plate, then it will have to be relocated. There are a few options for doing this. The first option is to pick up the Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch License Plate Relocation Bracket, # 5443. This bracket will insert into the receiver of your front mount hitch to hold the license plate when you are not carrying an accessory such as a plow or winch.

If you want a more permanent application, then you could install a license plate bracket like # LP10SB or # LP15SB, but this would require you to drill additional holes in your front fascia.
