Is Fascia Bumper Trimming Required to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2012 Scion tC
Question:
I read a review of the product, where the installer had to cut out a piece of their bumper cover to get clearance. is this necessary?

Trimming the rear fascia is not required in the instructions for Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24815. I have linked the instructions for you to view. However on some vehicles, people did have to allow the hitch to push up the bumper or have trimmed it for the best fit. It seems to vary from vehicle to vehicle. I have included a link to a video that shows a typical installation for you.
If you plan on doing some towing the recommended ball mount is # 3593 and you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # HM11141964. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the wiring as well.
