Thule Canyon XT Cargo Basket Compatible With My 2017 CX9 With OEM Crossbars?
Question:
Will this fit with the OEM crossbars for a 2017 CX9. I cannot find much information on the distance for the crossbars for this rack. It appears that the crossbars can only be attached in various fixed distance as the connection points on the rack mount on bars that do not run the same direction as the rails. Also will this cargo box mount to crossbars that have a slight curve to them? The OEM crossbars for the CX9 do have a slight curve and worried that this will not mount properly

The Thule Canyon Xt Roof Cargo Basket # TH859XT will most factory crossbars. You need just need to measure your crossbar spread. The crossbar spread is measured from the center of one bar to the center of the back bar. Once you have those measurements, make sure they are between 20 inches and 37 inches apart.
Most OEM Crossbars have a slight curve to them. For example, on a Chevy/GMC OEM roof rack there is a slight curve in the crossbars, but if you look at the included picture, there was no problem fitting the Thule Motion XT Cargo Box # TH629906. In regards to the Thule Canyon XT, the curve in the OEM crossbars could be a factor if the bars are extremely curved, but in my experience that has not been an issue.
