Recommended Hitch and Wiring for 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
can this fit on a 2004 jeep cherokee

Expert Reply:
The Curt # C13900 is a multi-fit hitch that is designed to fit on a variety of vehicles, but it would require some modification and drilling to install. Instead, I recommend using the Curt # 13051, which is a confirmed fit on your 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and will install without any drilling or modifications.
If you're going to be towing with this hitch and don't have the towing package, you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55369 to install a 4-way wiring harness on your vehicle. If you've got the towing package, you'll want to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118381.
If you need a ball mount and hitch ball, I recommend using the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 since it comes with 2 ball mounts with varying rise/drops, 2 hitch balls (1-7/8" and 2"), hitch pin, clip and storage bag.
I've linked some installation videos of these parts for you to refer back to if you're going to be installing these yourself.
