Best Concealed Class-III Hitch for 2020 Honda CR-V, Non-Hybrid, With Hands-Free Hatch Sensor

Looking for a 2inch receiver hitch thats best concealed and also compatible with a 2020 Honda CR-V Tourings hands-free tailgate lift. Hoping to avoid having to use Hondas sensor relocation kit. Any recommendations? Thank you.

For your 2020 Honda CR-V (Non Hybrid) vehicle I would recommend the etrailer # e98848 hitch. Not only is this specified for installation on non-hybrid CR-V's but it is also one of the best hidden hitches. Only the receiver tube shows. I have attached a picture that shows this. I like that this hitch has a matte finish that is similar to the lower bumper fascia material and the installation time is quicker than most. I have attached a video of the installation for a 2019 which should be identical.

Regarding the hands-free rear tailgate lift assist, we have had mixed reports. Some customers say it no longer works after the hitch installation while others say they are able to find a new sweet spot just left or right of the hitch. I can't guarantee anything. As you mentioned, Honda has a relocation kit for that sensor if you need it.

If you would like to tow a small trailer with your All Wheel Drive CR-V then you need a trailer lighting wiring harness. You wouldn't go wrong with the Tekonsha # 118741 harness. It is quick to install, and I like that the lighting module is small enough to be tucked away during installation.
