Carrying a 2 Inch Bike Rack on a 2003 Subaru Outback
Question:
Is there a hitch with a 2inch receiver that will fit a 2003 Subaru Outback? I have a 1Up bike rack with a 2 receiver that currently fits our truck and I want to be able to use it with the Subaru.

The only trailer hitch receivers available for your 2003 Subaru Outback are 1-1/4 inch hitches. Between them I recommend the Curt part # C12270 if you don't already have a receiver.
.
To keep using your 1Up bike rack you can use a hitch expander like our part # C45785. This does decrease your hitch's capacity by 50 percent but since the hitch's tongue weight rating is 350 pounds you still likely have enough for a bike rack and some bikes.
The other option is to replace your bike rack altogether. If you'd like to go this route and forgo the adapter let me know some specs on your bikes and how many you need to carry and I'll make a recommendation.
