You'll want to check the running light circuit on the trailer connector of your 2013 Chevy Silverado to see if the plug is supplying power there; it's possible that the wire for that circuit has become damaged. You'll want to use a a circuit tester on the blade located in the 11 o'clock position (when looking at the front of the recepticle) and see if it is powered when the truck's lights are turned on. If you don't already have a circuit tester you can use part # PTW2993.
If there is no power on the running light circuit, you'll want to check the wiring behind the plug and replace anything that has been damaged, then re-connect it to the 7 way on the truck.
If there is power on the running light circuit on the truck, let me know and I can have you check some other things.
