Trailer Hitch for 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid
Question:
I would like to get a 1-1/4inch hitch # DT92RR for my 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. Your FAQ states its a confirmed fit, but 2 customer reviews have stated it does not clear the tail pipes. Do you have any later info on this? Would you recommend avoiding this hitch and going with the 2... not my preferred choice... to avoid fit problems.

I am happy to help you find a hitch for your 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid. I contacted Draw-Tite to discuss the # DT92RR hitch, and they are currently researching its compatibility with the Hybrid model after discovering issues with fitment near the exhaust.
I recommend you go with the Curt # C23FR hitch. It is a confirmed fit for the Hybrid and there are some helpful customer reviews showing it installs and works well on your vehicle. The Curt hitch is a 2 inch instead of a 1-1/4 which will give you a higher capacity, more stability, and a wider variety of accessories for your hitch.
If you already have 1-1/4 inch accessories, I recommend you check out the # C45770 Curt 2 to 1-1/4 inch adapter. This will reduce your capacity, but should still be higher than a 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch. On the plus side, it is 4 inches long which will give you more bumper clearance when using accessories like bike rack or cargo carriers.
I attached links to the installation video of the Curt hitch and adapter for your reference.
