How To Convert 4-Way on 2019 Subaru Outback To 7-Way
Question:
I have a 2019 outback. I already have the 4 way connected installed and I believe to have found the adapter I need to convert it to a 7 way. I am purchasing a tab320 small tear camper. I plan on using the wireless break controller so I know the blue wire is no longer needed. I guess I just don’t understand what the yellow wire is for. If I do need to install it ... where is this connecting to?

The 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation part # ETBC7L is just what you need to upgrade the 4-way on a 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon to a 7-way and it will work great with a wireless brake controller like the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180.
In regards to installation, the blue wire (brake output) and yellow wire (reverse) won't need to be attached. The only wires you'll need to attach besides the 4-way is the black which is power and white which is ground.
