Recommended Custom Bracket Kit, Base Rails and 5th Wheel Hitch for 2007 Ford F-250

Question:

Bought a used 2007 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed. It has brackets installed, but I dont know what specific brackets they are. Need to get rails and hitch at least. We are planning to pull a Sabre 320FQDS RV. Not sure where to start!

I do have a solution for you, but we do strongly advise not mixing brackets and rails from 2 different manufacturers. The reason for this is that they haven't been tested together, so compatibility and fit cannot be guaranteed and the capacity of the setup will be unknown.

With that said I recommend using the Curt # C16448-204 base rail and bracket kit which will provide you with a set of industry standard base rails to mount a 5th wheel hitch in. These are a custom bracket kit so it'll install to the holes that are already in the frame, so it's going to install with minimal drilling required. Once you've gotten the new bracket and rails installed, you can use the Curt A16 # C16120 that you were looking at. The Curt A16 has a 16000-lbs capacity which is a good fit since it appears that the Sabre 320FQDS has a GVWR of around 11500-lbs. This hitch also fits in the industry base rails that you're installing, so it's a good solution for towing your new 5th wheel hitch.

I've linked some review and installation videos of these parts for you to have a look at, as well.

Yes; using the Turnoverball would actually be a great solution since it's going to allow you to keep the truck bed free and clear of a rail kit, plus you'll get to use one of our most popular and well reviewed hitches. The B&W Companion hitch you'll want to use is the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # BWRVK3500-5W.
