Does 2013 Jeep Wrangler With 4-Way Have Plug-In Adapter for Brake Controller
Question:
I was told my 13foot jk has a tow package, the build sheet, the axle ratio, and the rear spring all agree with previous ownersfoot claims. But the wire on the back of jeep is only a flat 4 connector. How can I see if the Jeep has the plug and play under the dash, your video example only uses a previous owners wiring? I really dont want to jerry-rig it if there is a simple plug on the jeep?

A 2013 Jeep Wrangler does not have a plug-in option for a brake controller, even with the factory tow package, so you will need to hardwire the controller. Since you already have a 4-way you will need to add a 7-way first with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
Then you will need to hardwire in the brake controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
The only other option you have, in order to not have to hardwire in a controller in your Jeep's cab, is to use a wireless brake controller, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.
The Echo will plug into your 7-way and allow you to use your smartphone in order to set it up and control it, which is why an in-cab unit and wiring isn't needed. The Echo will still require adding a 7-way with the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L.
I have added links to reviews and installs for you to check out a well.
