Is Derale Econo-Cool Engine and Transmission Cooler Fan Always On
Question:
Is the fan on continuously? What pushes the fluid from tranny or power steering is there a pump or is it from the force of liquid pushed through an opening? Im asking because of varying hose sizes. Thank you !

The fan of the Derale Econo-Cool Combo Engine and Transmission Cooler Assembly with Fan # D15230 is not always on, it is thermostatically controlled with the Derale Remote Engine Oil Cooler Installation Kit with Thermostat Fan Control # D15752. You will also need the Derale Single-Hose Transmission Cooler Installation Kit # D13006.
The oil cooler thermostat activates at 180 degrees and turns off at 165 degrees; additionally, this kit does not have a separate pump. I have added links to the directions of these parts for you to check out.
