Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Toyota Tundra with 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

We own a 2018 Tundra sport. My question is we are good with the weight of the fifth wheel camper we are looking to purchase. However we have been recently informed that BW’s size may be a factor of concern with turn and position of the hitch in the bed. We have the crew max cab4 full doors is this correct and is there a hitch out there for this?

For your 2018 Toyota Tundra that has a 5-1/2 foot bed we have one hitch that would have enough sliding clearance to allow you to make tight turns without hitting the cab on the nose of the trailer. For that you'd want the part # DM8550040 with the rail kit part # DM8552020-71 which is a confirmed fit for your truck. This is the only hitch out there that would give you the needed turning clearance and what's really great is that the hitch slides back automatically as you make tight turns.
