Hitch Recommendation for my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport
Question:
I have a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Premium 4x4 with a full size 16 spare. This model isnt listed in your vehicle list. Im looking for a rear hitch that wont interfere with normal use of the spare. Will this one do the trick?

For your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport you will use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13540. This was custom designed for use with the Explorer Sport or two door model. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75112 was designed for use with the Ford Explorer Sport Trac which was a slightly different model and will not fit your Ford Explorer Sport two door.
If you'll be hauling a trailer use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C55344 which will give you a 4-way flat connector to get the lights working.
If you do not have a ball mount the etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches part # 989900 allows you to tow tons of different trailers with all of the rise and drop options it offers.
