Question:
Vehicle came with factory installed tow package. What do I need to connect my Hopkins 47294? Where is factory plug located? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The tow package of your 2013 Ford Escape should come with a 4-way trailer connector. In order to operate a brake controller you are going to need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
For that you will need a Brake Controller 7 and 4 Way Installation Kit # ETBC7. This comes with everything you will need to convert your 4-way to a 7-way and will provide you with everything you will need to wire in your Hopkins Brake Controller # HM47294. I attached installation instructions for both of these products for you to check out as well as an installation video for the # ETBC7.
