Does the Power Wire Need Run On Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Lincoln MKX
Question:
Will brake lights/running lights/turn signals work if everything is wired correctly, and the wire running to the battery is not connected. I am taking possession of a trailer Monday, and may not be able to get under the vehicle by then to complete the installation of that cable.

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118519 is a great option for a 2012 Lincoln MKX. It is a powered harness as are all the options for this vehicle therefore you'd need to run a power wire to the battery in order for the trailer lights to work. This takes the strain off the factory lighting circuits.
In order to complete your towing setup I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75992 and etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900.
