Replacement Pivot Bolt and Lock Nut for Roadmaster Tow Dolly

Question:

You have the pivot bolt but you don't have the nut for it. I am unable to tell if the bolt is the problem or the nut is bad. I can only thread the nut on about 6 threads, so I need to replace both the nut and the bolt. Can you sell me the nut with the bolt?

The Replacement Pivot Bolt for Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - Qty 1 # RM-350800-00 as you stated does not come with any additional hardware. Currently the only way to get the bolt and nut is to get the Roadmaster Tow Dolly Ramp Wear Strip and Spacer Plate Replacement Kit # RM-2000-25 which will give you the bolt, washers, and nut along with a few other parts. Unfortunately I can't open a kit to offer you just the bolt and nut.

Since the install of the pivot bolt part #RM-350800-00 that you referenced requires 70 ft lbs there wouldn't end up being any clearance between the pad and the pivot bolt nut. The pad ends up getting bolted to the deck.

The wear plate in the Roadmaster #RM-2000-25 is 16" long x 8" tall and the holes are spaced 14-1/2" apart. The spacer plate is 4" long x 3" tall and 1/4" thick.

I was able to confirm that the diameter of both the Replacement Steering Pin and Clip #RM-357100-00 and your Master Tow tow dolly are both 5/8" in diameter. You will be able to use the Roadmaster Pin on your Master Tow dolly.

While the pivot bolt part #RM-350800-00 is torqued down pretty tight the wear plate that goes between the two moving pieces allows the movement.

In order to determine the torque rating for the lug nuts on your trailer you will need to know check out the chart I attached that shows all of the torque specs for all the trailer lugs available based on stud size, wheel material and wheel size.
