Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit for 2018 BMW X5 with M Sport Package

Question:

Hello - I have a 2018 BMW X5 M Sport Package and see that there are several that come up when loading the vehicle specs into your online search. The results are somewhat confusing as the same Curt hitch #13077 comes up for M Performance and non-M Performance models but does not talk to the M Sport Package. My vehicle does have the backup sensors and I want to make sure the compatibility is there for this or what is recommended besides the Curt brand for use with a receiver bike rack and, possibly, a small utility trailer down the road. I will not plan on towing a boat, travel trailer or something large with this vehicle. Which hitch or hitches would be the correct ones for the vehicle with the M Sport Package? That is a good question, and the answer is there is just a single trailer hitch receiver that fits your 2018 BMW X5 with the M Sport package, which is from Stealth Hitches.

- For Use with Bike Rack or Accessory Only: Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH79VR

- For Use With Bike Rack and Towing: Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver with Towing Kit # SH85VR

The difference is the first option comes with a removable 2" receiver that cannot be used for towing and is only for bike racks or cargo carriers, for example. The second option comes with the receiver as well as a ball mount and wiring harness.
