Recommended Best Anti-Sway System for 2015 Shasta Airflyte 19 Foot Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2002 Cadillac Escalade and I am towing a 2015 Shasta Airflyte 19 foot reissue. I have noticed quite a bit of sway on my last trip. Would you recommend this anti-sway over one of the bigger weight distribution and anti-sway devices? Will this get the job done, or would I be better off just spending the money on the big ones?

The Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200 is a great addition to an already existing chain style weight distributions system. It however will not work as well as a weight distribution system that is designed for sway control and has that integrated into the way it is made. The friction bar systems require removal before backing the trailer up and only reduce sway that is already occurring versus preventing it in the first place by design. I've attached an article on sway control to help with the comparison.

The best sway control system because it actively works to keep your trailer in line with your tow vehicle is the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # RP66082 which is the correct fit for your trailer. It will take more time to set up initially, but It will works so well it is worth that time.
