Are Extra Wires Needed To Install Brake Controller On 2018 Ford Explorer with Tow Package

2018 ford explorer sport. Have factory installed tow package. do i have to run white wire as shown in your installation video? or is it a strait plugand play? where is plug located on my vehicle? Thank-You in advance

In regards to installing a brake controller like the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 which is what I recommend on a 2018 Ford Explorer, the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3035-P will make for plug-in play installation on all models with the factory tow package so you won't have to worry about running any extra wires. The plug should be located under the dash, somewhere near the steering column but keep in mind they do take some effort to find.
