4-Bike Rack Recommendation for Vehicle with Low Ground Clearance 2015 Honda Odyssey

Question:

Dear etrailer, I have a question regarding trailer hitches and bike racks for my 2015 Honda Odyssey. I currently have a Draw-Tite 36417 attached to my Odyssey. When leaving the driveway, at the lowest point, I have an inch clearance for like half a second. I want to move from a two bike rack to a 4 adult bikes. Because of this I have been eyeing the Curt 13068. My questions are: 1 Will the Curt 13068 2” hitch bottom out in my driveway? Basically is it lower to the ground that the Draw-Tite 35417? 2 Is having 4 bikes in a 1.25 hitch safe? If so, what bike rack do you recommend? Thanks,

I have a 4 bike rack solution for you but since your current setup is very close to dragging I would recommend a bike rack that angles up so as to offset the reduced clearance of having a longer bike rack like with the Swagman XTC4 bike rack part # S64665. This rack does require a 2 inch hitch so the Curt # C13068 that you referenced would be the way to go instead. This hitch would only be marginally lower to the ground than what you currently have so I would not worry about that.

I attached a review video for the bike rack as well as an install video link for you to check out as well.
