Recommendation For Using Trailer 4-Way With Vehicle 7-Way
Question:
I have a 2016 Ford transit 350 HD. I’m looking for a complete wire harness. I like the seven way and four way set up. I like to know what kit I would need to connect to my existing seven way plug . I’ve already ran wire for the seven way to the battery from back to front of vehicle. What is your recommendation should I just plug my seven way hardwire and then use an adapter for the four-way I prefer to have hardwire seven way and four way.

Since you have a 7-way wired into your 2016 Ford Transit, I recommend using a simple adapter to go from a trailer with a 4-way to your vehicle's 7-way.
This will allow you to easily switch between the two by simply inserting or removing the adapter as needed. I recommend the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716 for just a plug, or if you want some length, the 18" long Wesbar Adapter - 7-Way RV to 4-Way or 5-Way Flat # 707250.
I have added links to video reviews of these parts for you to check out as well.
