Parts Needed To Tow a Small Trailer With a 2015 Honda CR-V
Question:
Hello, I would like to tow a small utility trailer on my2015 Honda CRV with AWD. I have a U-haul 1 1/4 sportsframe 3500 towing capacity hitch installed. I need to install a tail light kit as well. What else do I need to purchase to hook up a small utility trailer? Thanks.

In order to tow a small trailer with a 2015 Honda CR-V you'll need a trailer hitch, trailer wiring harness, and ball mount/hitch ball. The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98868 is a much better option for towing due to the larger receiver tube opening but others will work as well.
For the lights, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56158 is a great plug-n-play option. If you were to use the above hitch you could also use the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900 to complete your setup. That said, if you stick with the one you have now you'll need the Curt Class II Drawbar part # C45521, Curt Class I and II Pin and Clip part # F-4, and the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball part # A-80 or 2" Hitch Ball part # A-82.
