Where to Mount the Breakaway Air Reservoir for Roadmaster BrakeMaster Supplemental Braking System

installing brakemaster 9000 with brakeaway on 2011 honda crv. asking for advice on where to place breakaway air reservoir. Thanks

Expert Reply:
When installing the Roadmaster BrakeMaster # RM-9060 the most common installation location is within the engine compartment of your towed vehicle, but it can be installed anywhere that an air line can be routed from the top of the air reservoir to the front of the vehicle, and where the drain valve at the bottom of the reservoir, is easily accessible. The only place this reservoir cannot be mounted is within the passenger compartment, since it is charged with compressed air.
There is a detailed list of what conditions you'll need to look over that are in the instructions on pages 5-7, that I recommend having a look at. I've linked those instructions to this answer.
