Brake Controller and Trailer Connector Recommendation for 2009 Chevy Express
Question:
I have a 2009 chevy express 1500 van. I am looking for a ez connector for a standard 7 pin trailer connector, and a brake controller. Do you have a kit? please advise.

Since your 2009 Express (which was built across the street from our facility) doesn't have a factory 7-way, there isn't a plug and play trailer connector option. That's not the end of the world though, because the installation is pretty simple, and we can help you through it.
First, you'll need a 4 pole trailer connector to get the lighting circuits. I'd recommend part # 118392. You'd then choose a brake controller. I'd highly recommend a proportional controller like the Tekonsha Primus, part # TK90160. You'd also need our Brake Controller installation kit, part # ETBC7. The kit includes an adapter to convert the 4 pole to a 7-way.
If you need a hitch, the # C15320 would work perfectly.
I've linked to installation videos and help articles that will walk you through the installation.
