Recommended Brake Controller for a 2013 GMC Yukon XL

Looking to upfit our 2013 GMC Yukon XL with a trailer brake controller. What unit would you recommend.

The 2013 GMC Yukon XL should have come with from the factory both a trailer hitch and 7-way trailer connector so all you will need to make the vehicle capable of towing a trailer with brakes is a brake controller. For this, the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 is an excellent option and what I recommenced. The Tekonsha Primus IQ has boost settings for increased braking, diagnostic checks for easy troubleshooting, and an easy to read LED display.

Please note, there is no plug present under the dash, but the needed wires are already run. You will connect the brake controller wiring with the vehicle wiring already present under the dash.
