Reese 5th Wheel Hitch Compatibility With Putnam Gooseneck System
Question:
I have a Putnam gooseneck 23,500 MGTW that has been on my 2000 F350 super duty. It is the on a air hitch held on with rubber blocks around a ball with hitch pins securing it to the base. The rubber blocks are destroyed and Im wondering if you carry them or if you know where to get them. if not I was looking to buy the Reese 20k, will the mounts I have for the Putnam hitch work for the reese 20k?

The Reese Select Plus 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928 you referenced fits on industry standard base rails. I am not familiar enough with the Putnam system to outright say it will fit, so I recommend looking at the mounting positions to confirm fit. I've attached a photo to show the mounting points of the Reese Hitch into base rails which are 20-1/2 inches by 22 inches. You will just need to make sure the locations line up and the Putnam system has the capacity for what you will be towing. If not, I recommend removing the system and replacing it with # RP50082-58.
We do not have the rubber blocks you mentioned and unfortunately can't help with finding them. I'm just not familiar at all with Putnam brand and don't want to send you on a goose-chase.
