Fit of Curt Class I C11117 Trailer Hitch on 2001 Pontiac Trans Am
Question:
Hello, I was looking at the Curt C11117. I noticed it mentioned that the hitch would fit a 1998 trans am. I own a 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am w/ the WS6 package. I would like to confirm that the product is a direct fit. I have been having some trouble locating a hitch that will clear the rear bumper of the car. The last part I ordered stated it was a match for the car - but sat too high and was not long enough.. so i would like to confirm before ordering. If the part fits what wiring kit and ball adapter are recommended for the car? If I order and the part is not a direct fit what is your return policy?

According to Curt Manufacturing, the # C11117 is a fit for all models of the 2001 Pontiac Firebird, including the T/A. For trailer wiring, you'll want to use # 119178KIT. Curt recommends the # C45520 ball mount along with the # PC2 hitch pin and # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch or # A-82 for a 2 inch hitch ball.
I'll link you to our return policy.
