Weight Distribution and Sway Control Recommendation for 2019 Ram 2500 Towing Arctic Fox 25W
Question:
Looking for a weight distributing / sway hitch for my Arctic Fox 25W travel trailer towed by 2019 Ram 2500. The trailer GVWR is 10,000lbs. Dry weight 6,593 lbs. Dry tongue weight 783 lbs. Is the Reese RP66560 a good choice? RP66084?What would you recommend?

Expert Reply:
Either of the two weight distribution kits you mentioned would be excellent choices for your trailer that will have a tongue weight of 783 lbs. The Strait Line # RP66084 has the better sway control than the Steadi Flex part # RP66560 so I would recommend it if you are looking for the best solution. The Strait Line has a system that is proactive in trying to prevent the trailer from swaying before it starts as it keeps pressure on the trailer to stay in a straight line whereas the Steadi Flex tries to minimize sway as it's happening so it's not quite as effective.
For a hitch ball you'd then want the part # A-90 for either kit.
