Swivel Trailer Jack with a Wheel For a Motorcycle Trailer
Question:
I built a trailer for my motorcycle using a harbor freight trailer kit which has 8 inch wheels, I believe the 10inch height from the bottom of the mounting base to the bottom of the wheel is perfect. The only problem I see for my application is how to mount the unit on the tongue which measures 2 1/2 inch across the top and about 1 3/4 inch vertically . Any thoughts about how this unit could be mounted ?

The 10 inches you see on trailer jack # PSEJ10000101 is the amount of lift it has, not the distance from the bracket to the wheel. The retracted height of this jack is actually 13 inches.
The frame dimensions are going to be too small for a bolt on jack so I recommend a weld-on jack like # FTJ120W0301. This jack has the same retracted height and it has a 1,200 pound capacity. Welding should be done by a qualified professional.
I have included a link to a video review of this jack for you.
