Trailer Bunk Carpet for 14 ft long 2x4 Bunk Boards

Question:

I need to replace my bunk boards on my pontoon trailer. There are 4 total 14foot long 2x4s and I need to replace the boards and install the carpets on each of them. Could you tell me if treated wood is fine for this and what size carpet rolls do I need to get?

To make your own bunk boards, pressure treated pine has long proven to be the best kind of treated wood to use because it holds up well and it is strong enough to support a boat.

To wrap around the 14 ft long 2 x 4 bunk boards (actually 1.5 x 3.5), you'll need carpet that is around 14-1/2 ft long and just over 10 inches wide. Our closest option is going to be the CE Smith Deluxe Marine-Grade Carpeting # CE11349.

I've linked an installation video for you to check out at the bottom of the page.
