Typically hanging bike racks are considered more portable as they are made from less material than platform bike racks. A great 2-bike hanging bike rack option is the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack part # TH9058. This bike rack can install in both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch hitch receivers. The rack weighs about 28 lbs and can handle up to 75lbs in bikes total. I have linked an installation video for you to check out.

If you like the style of the platform rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider # HR200Z because this rack folds up to a smaller footprint for storage and weights about 36 lbs. Probably the biggest benefit to this rack is the shank with the built in rise. This will keep your bikes higher off the ground, which is important on a vehicle such as a minivan where the hitch receiver is naturally lower to the ground.
